Steven began his professional football career with the Carolina Panthers, supporting football operations, personnel evaluation, and NFL Combine activities while contributing to scouting and salary cap analysis projects. This experience provided an early introduction to roster construction, player evaluation, and the inner workings of an NFL front office.
Minnesota Vikings
2010–2018
Rising Through the Minnesota Vikings Organization
Over eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Steven progressed through five scouting and personnel roles, earning increasing responsibility across player development, college scouting, pro scouting, and football operations. He evaluated talent across the country, built relationships with collegiate programs and coaches, and regularly presented recommendations to senior football leadership in support of NFL Draft and free agency decisions.
Houston Texans
2018–2021
Expanding NFL Personnel Expertise
As a Pro Scout with the Houston Texans, Steven played a key role in advance scouting, free agency evaluations, and NFL Draft cross-checking. He conducted more than 1,000 player evaluations annually while supporting coaching and personnel executives with strategic roster-building insights.

Leadership with the New York Giants
Steven joined the Giants as Pro Personnel Manager before transitioning to Pro Scout, where he oversaw personnel operations, implemented evaluation processes, mentored developing scouts, and contributed to advance scouting efforts. During the 2022 season, he completed nearly 1,000 evaluations and helped prepare winning advance reports for multiple opponents.

Leading Football Operations at UCLA
At UCLA, Steven oversees recruiting and personnel operations for one of college football's premier programs. He leads a staff of more than 30 professionals, manages roster and NIL strategy, and directs talent acquisition, competitive analysis, and long-term roster planning within the evolving Big Ten landscape.
